Anxiety Therapy in Las Vegas
Evidence-based treatment for anxiety that addresses both the patterns of thought and the body's nervous system response. In person at Downtown Summerlin and via teletherapy throughout Nevada.
Our Approach
Treating Anxiety at Its Source
Anxiety is not simply a thinking problem. It involves the body, the nervous system, and often the residue of past experiences that never fully resolved. Effective treatment addresses all of these layers, not just the surface symptoms.
We use Somatic Experiencing to work directly with the body's threat response, drawing on polyvagal theory to help the nervous system recognize safety rather than staying locked in alarm. Where anxiety is rooted in trauma, EMDR can process the underlying experiences that keep the nervous system on alert.
The goal isn't the elimination of anxiety. Some anxiety is adaptive. The goal is developing a different relationship with it, so it no longer drives behavior or limits your life.
Polyvagal-Informed
Working directly with the autonomic nervous system to shift the fight, flight, freeze, and shutdown responses that keep anxiety activated.
Somatic Work
Regulating the body's nervous system response directly, not just working around it. Anxiety lives in the body as much as in the mind.
EMDR for Trauma
Where anxiety has roots in past experiences, EMDR processes those memories so they no longer trigger a disproportionate alarm response.
What We Address
Types of Anxiety We Treat
Generalized Anxiety
Persistent, wide-ranging worry that is difficult to control and interferes with daily functioning. Often accompanied by physical tension, sleep difficulties, and irritability.
Social Anxiety
Fear of judgment, embarrassment, or rejection in social situations that leads to avoidance or significant distress in professional and personal life.
Panic Disorder
Recurrent unexpected panic attacks and the anticipatory anxiety about having more, which often leads to avoidance of situations associated with past attacks.
Health Anxiety
Excessive worry about illness or physical symptoms that persists despite reassurance and disrupts quality of life and medical relationships.
OCD
Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors that provide temporary relief but maintain the anxiety cycle over time. We work with ERP principles alongside Somatic Experiencing.
Trauma-Rooted Anxiety
Hypervigilance, startle responses, and chronic activation that trace back to past threatening experiences rather than present circumstances.

Somatic Experiencing and polyvagal-informed techniques to regulate the nervous system, and EMDR where anxiety has roots in past experiences. The approach is matched to your specific presentation.

Many clients experience significant relief in 8 to 16 focused sessions. Anxiety with deeper trauma roots typically requires more. We discuss realistic timelines at the start.
