What We Offer

Areas of Clinical Competency

Our practice integrates person-centered methodology with yogic principles and elements of Satir and Jungian orientation, synthesized through a somatic and polyvagal-informed lens. The aim is not symptom relief alone, but psychological evolution, deeper self-understanding, and authentic connection.

Our Services

Relational Work

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is central to Clarity Therapy's clinical work. Our approach is grounded in research-based models of relational health and change, integrating humanistic, experiential, and systemic frameworks.

Using the Gottman Method, we work to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection, and remove relationship stagnancy. Sessions cultivate empathy between partners and create new pathways for understanding and connection.

Whether you are navigating communication breakdown, infidelity recovery, intimacy concerns, or life transitions, our relational approach supports couples in building the relationship they want.

Personal Growth

Individual Therapy

Individual psychotherapy at Clarity is research-informed and tailored to each client's needs. Drawing from integrative methods, including psychodynamic, somatic, and polyvagal-informed approaches, sessions address the root causes of distress while building lasting skills for nervous system regulation.

We work with anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, grief, trauma, self-esteem, and a wide range of personal challenges. The therapeutic relationship itself is understood as a powerful vehicle for healing.

Systemic Healing

Family Therapy

Family therapy is informed by systemic and evidence-based approaches that understand the family as an interdependent unit. Rather than identifying a single "problem person," this approach addresses the patterns of interaction and structural dynamics that shape how family members relate to one another.

Drawing from Satir's communication model, structural family therapy, and narrative approaches, we help families develop healthier patterns, improve communication, resolve conflict, and support the emotional needs of every member.

Somatic Practice

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy is offered as a complementary, evidence-supported modality that integrates somatic practices with psychotherapy. Rooted in an Ashtanga-based framework, sessions may include physical postures, breathwork, guided visualization, and meditation.

The practice considers individual limitations and honors each person's unique relationship to their body. By supporting nervous system regulation through polyvagal theory and vagus nerve exploration, yoga therapy bridges the body-mind connection that is central to lasting psychological healing.

Trauma Treatment

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an extensively researched, evidence-based treatment for trauma, PTSD, and traumatic brain injury integration. Endorsed by the World Health Organization and the American Psychological Association, EMDR has demonstrated robust efficacy in clinical trials.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements) to help the brain process and integrate disturbing memories, reducing their lasting impact on day-to-day functioning. EMDR can address single-incident trauma as well as complex, developmental trauma.

Somatic Experiencing and polyvagal-informed nervous system work

Body-Based

Somatic Experiencing

Somatic Experiencing works with the body directly, tracking physical sensation, breath, and nervous system state rather than relying on talk alone. Grounded in polyvagal theory, this approach helps clients recognize and shift the autonomic patterns, fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown, that keep the body locked in survival mode long after a threat has passed.

This work is highly effective for anxiety, trauma, and chronic stress. By building a felt sense of safety in the body and expanding a client's capacity to tolerate and move through activation, Somatic Experiencing supports lasting nervous system regulation rather than symptom management alone.
